Here are the two things that make the biggest difference to your result. They are the two most people never discover on their own.
Use both sides of the brush
The brush has two sides. The long side lengthens and separates, so sweep from the root outwards when you want length. The short side lifts and defines, so turn the brush over and use it along the outer edge and on the short lashes in the inner corner.
Build in thin layers
Hold the brush close to the lash root and sweep upwards in one calm, even stroke. Let each layer settle for a few seconds before you apply the next. The formula is a little wetter the first few times and becomes firmer after a couple of uses.
One last thing: finish with your lower lashes. It gives a more defined look.
And this is how you take it off
Warm water, at least 38 degrees Celsius, until the mascara feels soft. For most people that takes 30 to 60 seconds, but it varies with how hot your water is and how many layers you are wearing. Then press gently with clean fingertips and slide from the lash root outwards. The mascara comes off in small tubes.
No makeup remover and no oil cleanser is needed, and you should never have to rub. If it stays put the water is not hot enough, so soak again and repeat.
